The 2007 FIBA Americas Championship has been largely dominated by Argentina in Group A & the USA (Starting line- up: Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Leborn James, Dwight Howard) in Group B. USA has been on a tear since the 22nd of August. After making quick work of Venezuela and then Virgin Islands, 112-69 & 123-59 respectively, many believe the Americans' first test would come against the Canadians.
However, the Americans took that game 113-63. It was a fifty point game win over the Canadians. Yesterday, the USA went up against the Brazilians. After the first quarter, it seemed like Brazil would be the first test for the Americans with the Brazilians scoring 21 points and the Americans 27 . However, the second quarter was blown open with the Americans outscoring the Brazilians by 13 points.
With USA's preliminary round over, they look ahead towards continuing their dominance. I've had the privilege of watching every USA game from this site. You'll need Sopcast or an another P2P program.
